Frequently Asked Questions

For any additional questions, please contact me directly at drcarolhaddad@gmail.com

01. What Philosophies Do You Practice/Believe In?

I believe in implementing a variety of modalities to help recover from disease and restore health to all systems of the body. These include conventional medical approaches such as radiotherapy, chemotherapy, surgery and pharmaceuticals; allied health approaches including physiotherapy, occupational therapy; and complementary methods including acupuncture, massage, natural therapies, diet and lifestyle changes, detoxification, herbs/supplements, mindset, and more.

02. What Can I Expect During My Medical Consultation?

Consultation takes place via video-conference. There is an upfront intake process, as well as collection of past blood work and other other relevant testing. The consultation begins with a series of additional questions that assist in getting to know your background and current circumstances. A review of your medical tests results and treatment to date will be made.

Following this assessment, a formulation of individualised recommendations will be provided based on the information gathered. This will give you a detailed overview of what you need to focus on in the months ahead. Appropriate referrals will be made if necessary and links to further information provided. You will also have the option to continue working with us on an ongoing basis.

03. Is There Anything I Should Prepare For My Medical Consultation?

It would be ideal to have all test results available in report form including any imaging tests such as x-rays, CT, MRI, PET scan results, biopsy results, operation reports, and histopathology reports prior to the consultation.

04. Do you ever advocate for taking a purely holistic/natural approach to treating cancer, forgoing any conventional treatments?

No. As an Integrative Oncologist I firmly believe that an Integrative approach, which includes a targeted use of conventional medical treatments, is the best form of care we have available today. Although I am compassionate to the reasons why one would be attracted to the approach of going all natural, I encourage a conversation with me first to better understand why I strongly recommend the Integrative approach for treating cancer.

05. What is ICCA and how does it differ from Dr. Carol Haddad - Integrative Oncologist?

Integrative Cancer Care Australia (ICCA) is my latest offering. It is designed to provide the same quality of care my patients have come to expect, only on a larger scale. The 12-week ‘Integrative Cancer Care Essentials’ package and Naturopathic consults are now available. In addition, ICCA will soon offer group coaching, an online community, a resource center, and a comprehensive online e-course academy.

I will continue to offer my 1-on-1 medical consults here through Dr. Carol Haddad - Integrative Oncologist. For more information, please visit this page.

06. How Much Do You Charge Per Session?

Information on the standard fee will be provided on enquiry and is tailored to the individual care required and whether it be a medical consultation, treatment review, follow-up or the ‘Integrative Cancer Care Essentials’ package. Naturopathic consults are A$350 + GST. The 12 week Integrative Cancer Care Essentials package is A$3600 + GST.
